The Accademia del Cimento invented this thermometer in 1666, based on Galileo Galilei's discovery that fluids changed volume with temperature in a predictable way. As the temperature of the liquid changes, see the carefully-weighted coloured bulbs rise or fall as the density becomes relatively higher or lower. The temperature range is 16-34C.
Made from: beech wood, glass, steel, oil.
Comes boxed.
Measurements: 10.8cm x 8.3cm.
