These brass earrings have 3 intricately-patterned layers. The layers get progressively longer and more curled to create a delicate 3D form. The perforations form a multi-scale pattern of cells within cells, which remind us of insect wings and petals.
Computationally generated designs, derived from cells and foams, are etched from brass sheets and shaped into 3D forms in a hydraulic press.
