Italian cartographer Baptista Boazio and English engraver Renolde Elstrack made this unusual 1599 map of Ireland — oriented with north to the right. It is signed “Your Majesties most Humble and loyall subject, Baptista Boazio” and “graven by Renolde Elstrack” and notes that “Theise Descriptions of Ireland are to be sould in the popes head Alley, by Mr Sudbury.”
