These intricate, perforated brass earrings are inspired by the form of seed pods. One side features a complex pattern with shifting direction and scale while the other side has a more uniform cellular lattice; each pattern is mathematically derived from cells and foam. Each earring is made up of two convex pieces which hang from a gold-filled earwire to create an airy pod-like structure.
Computationally generated designs are etched from brass sheets and shaped into 3D forms in a hydraulic press.
