These brass stud earrings are shaped like the petals of a flower (which together are called the corolla). The petals curl inwards creating a convex shape. The cellular structure of the pattern gets larger as it moves towards the tips of the petals.
Computationally generated designs, derived from cells and foams, are etched from brass sheets and shaped into 3D forms in a hydraulic press.
