An early 18th-century Chinese woodcut illustrating 24 types of external haemorrhoids, from Yizong jinjian: Waike xinfa - The Golden Mirror Of Medicine: Essential Knowledge and Secrets of External Medicine. This huge work was an imperial commission printed in 1742 (in the Qianlong reign period of the Qing dynasty). Adapted from an image in the Wellcome Collection, and hand-printed by Present Indicative.
